‘They are all in it Together’……

‘Months have passed since the MPs expenses scandal and yet over the past few days we have learned of another set of examples of MPs ‘on the take.’

I can’t say I’m shocked, as any ‘promise’ made by a politician is worth less that the paper it’s written on.  In the latest batch of fraudulent behaviour by our honourable representatives we have MPs renting out their London homes to other MPs at the tax payer’s expense, an ex MP who fraudulently claimed £60,000.00 by submitting fake invoices and the senior MP, Margaret Hodge, whose family business escaped by paying pitiful 0.25% tax on the profits of her family business……

To add insult to injury we have also discovered that ‘Starbucks’, ‘eBay’, ‘Apple’, ‘Facebook’ and ‘Google’, paid hardly any tax, if at all.  I think it is fair to say that they really are ‘all in it together’……

Margaret Moran – Ex Labour MP……

Between 2004 and 2008 Margaret Moran claimed £60,000.00 in fraudulent expenses.  These are not in the ‘whoops, I must have put in the wrong pile’ kind of expense you can put down to human error.  These are the blatantly criminal actions of a greedy politician, who actions as far as I can see are indefensible.

The £4000.00 that she claimed for building work was invoiced to a building firm whose address turned out to be the house of a retired couple, £2000.00 for a telephone line installation which never happened and carpets for 3 bedrooms in a 1 bedroom flat.

Moran faces 15 charges of false accounting and a further 6 of using a false instrument over the claims for parliamentary expenses but denies that she did anything wrong.  The case continues in front of a jury.  Moran could not attend due to mental health problems so the case will be heard in her absence.  I to have a mental health problem but something tells me, were I to commit fraud to the tune of £60k, I would be standing in the dock……

Tax Evasion……

Note the use of the word ‘evasion’ as opposed to ‘avoidance’, because how ever you dress it up that’s what it is.  I’m sure if I had the resources of the multi-national corporations I would be able to set up a complicated web of subsidiary companies in order to shuffle money around and avoid paying tax.  The Government seem impotent when it comes to sorting out this fiasco but that is simply spin.  The might of the HMRC and the thousands of civil servants it employs are more than capable of closing whatever loopholes the big corporations are using.  They just choose not to.  And as for the line that companies along with bankers would up sticks and move somewhere else; good, let them go……

Quantitative Easing……

Here is a conundrum.  Why does the Bank of England, the only institution with the authority to print our currency, buy government debt but then charge interest on it.  Surely, our nation’s bank has the power to print money without charging us interest, seeing how they are the only institution able to print the money.  The answer is simple; the ‘Bank of England’ is a privately owned bank with names such as the Rothschild family amongst its share holders.  So, the bank with the power to set interest rates, create monetary stability and fiscal stability is a privately owned company being run for profit and not for the welfare of the citizens of the UK.  This applies to the ‘World Bank’, ‘Federal Reserve’, ‘Central European Bank’ and all the others.  They are a cartel who has contributed to the misery of those living in third world poverty with their loans which harm much of the undeveloped world.

Just recently we have been informed by the press that many of the High Street names we all know have been involved in money laundering for various dictators and drug lords, although I’m sure they will be exonerated of any blame.  When it comes to ‘casino’ banking which very few of us understand what they do is quite simple.  They create wealth.  They do this by gambling on the price of stocks and shares, which seems pretty harmless, only there is no area of opportunity from which they shy away.  The gambling on the price of fuels and food has a direct effect on the ever increasing prices you and I have to pay for these commodities.  For the affluent western nations we manage to get by but in sub-Saharan Africa they contribute directly to starvation……

And Most Worryingly – Our National Security……

This is a particularly area of concern for me and it should be for you.  Since the false flag operation on 11 September 2001 national security and terrorism has been in the spotlight and hailed as the number one threat to our nation.  We have become embroiled in wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, both with questionable motives.  In my opinion any threat from Islamic fundamentalist terrorists has increased, not decreased.  The death toll stands at an estimated two million, most innocent civilians caught up in the crossfire.  The internationally recognised rules of engagement are being violated on a daily basis.  Detainees at GuantanamoBay have been denied access to representation, in many cases not told why they are being held.  The American Government has redefined torture in order to make their actions ‘acceptable’ and we have seen the extrajudicial assassination of alleged terrorists by unmanned aerial drones in a sovereign country with whom we are not at war.  President Obama promised to close GuantanamoBay when he was elected; another empty political vote winning promise.

The use of unmanned aerial drones is particularly worrying as we now have our own, under the control of 13th Squadron at RAF Waddington in Lincolnshire.  As we have a plan to withdraw from Afghanistan by 2014 what use will we have for the drones and under what circumstances will they be used and against whom?

‘We are clearly NOT all in this together.  No matter how hard they try to distance themselves there remains an unhealthy closeness between politicians and big business.  Whilst the most needy in our society face ever increasing living costs, welfare cuts are directed toward them as politicians give the impression that living on welfare is a life choice and those on benefits have an easy, affluent lifestyle, which could not be further from the reality.  The nation’s security is in the hands of a dangerous elite who are far to close to their paymasters and the influence of the US.  The instability in the Middle East provides a platform for more military intervention (perhaps that’s what the drones are for).  Israel has a permanent seat at the United Nations, despite being in breach of several of its rulings and is the only country on earth which is not subject to inspections from the IAEA.  We still do business with some highly dubious regimes whilst condemning others.  We live in dangerous times and those in charge are not to be trusted.’
