Dr. Ron Paul – A Truly Democratic Republican……

The Presidential Candidate with a Conscience……

Ron Paul is a rare commodity in today’s political arena.  Running for election as the Republican candidate for the presidency of the United States he is backed by a large contingent of America’s youth and has the overwhelming support, in terms of private donations, from serving members of the armed forces.  More than half of all the donations from serving soldiers are in support of Ron Paul.  He is a man of principal as his record as a congressman shows……

What does Ron Paul Stand for……

Ron Paul has consistently opposed any legislation which breaches the Fourth Amendment, including the Patriot Acts and Homeland Security Act.  He strongly opposes American intervention in Middle Eastern affairs and is a proponent of the curtailment of the huge national debt, brought about in part by government borrowing from the Federal Bank.  Unlike its name suggests the “Federal Bank”, like the “World Bank” and other deceptively named institutions, is a privately owned concern run for profit and is not by any definition “federal”.  Ron Paul has expressed his concerns that government borrowing is accumulating debt for the nation’s children and grandchildren to repay.  US borrowing currently stands at $15,248,013,063,692.53 and is increasing at an average rate of $3.96 billion per day……

Back to Reality……

The unfortunate truth is that Ron Paul is unlikely to be the next President of the United States.  The endemic corruption within the institution’s of state dictate that the “bourgeoisie” will prevail.  When Barack Obama was elected it appeared that years of established doctrine had been broken, along with the promise of a fairer and more transparent administration.  President Obama promised that Guantanamo Bay would be closed within a year and signed an executive order to that effect. Guantanamo Bay remains open and the erosion of personal freedom enshrined in the Fourth Amendment continues.  The key players, Cheyney, Wolfowitz and Rumsfeld amongst others, remain at the heart of the administration influencing policy.  The extra-judicial execution of “enemy combatants” by pilotless drones continues unabated and the Project for a New American Century (PNAC) is on course……

In Conclusion……

As a UK citizen I have no say in the political decisions taken in the US.  However, with the power of the internet I can only disseminate information in the hope that the youth of America can see through the material possessions and logos which permeate their lives and invest in their own futures by taking an active role in the political process……

Wow, That was looking really positive for a while there – and then I see he’s a UK citizen plus has no chance of becoming president. Is he received well in the UK, I wonder though too.

Re the Federal Bank – we have the Commonwealth Bank here in Australia : now I wonder if it’s a private run affair too!! And the debt. That just seems impossible. How does that happen? I really don’t understand. It just blows me away.

Yet, another enlightening read. Thank you.

Sure enough, a quick Google search reveals your ‘commonwealth bank’ is indeed a private enterprise run for the profits of its shareholders. It’s a great ploy though, I mean it kind of gains your trust when it has words like ‘federal’ and ‘commonwealth’ in the name…

      Steve…
