Austerity……

14 Dec

Austerity – noun:  The quality of being austere.

So what does Austerity Mean to Us……

Austerity means different things to different people; or rather austerity has different effects on different people.  I wouldn’t imagine austerity has had any effect on David Cameron, or any of the Conservative, Liberal Democrats or Labour Party members.  Nor will it have had any effect on the bankers whom our leaders felt the need to preserve at any cost.  At the bottom of our society the effects are profound and, sometimes, fatal……

At the Bottom of the Pile……

By their own statistics there are 2.6 million unemployed people and only 400,000 jobs available.  Primary school mathematics leaves us with 2.2 million people for whom a job does not exist.  The majority of these people survive on £67.00 per week.  They will normally be expected to pay something toward their Housing Benefit; they are not exempt from paying for a TV license and receive no help toward the cost of public transport.  From my own experience I can tell you that the cost of basic necessities such as gas, electricity and water cost approximately £30.00 per week (this is also using as little central heating as possible and spending most of the day cold).  Of the remaining £37.00 I have to pay 2 prescription charges, another £15.00, and pay the £2.70 return bus fare to visit my GP.  So, with my remaining £19.00 I have to eat, cloth myself and buy toiletries.  How much do you spend in the supermarket?

It makes my piss boil when arseholes like my MP  (see Dripping Tap – 10 Nov) portray a ‘benefit culture’ and state that it is a ‘lifestyle choice’.  This only goes to show how far removed from reality they are.  Most MP’s have come straight from university into the backrooms of government offices before rising up the greasy pole to be the patronising, bureaucratic megalomaniacs who spend their time trying to persuade the rest of us work harder for longer and pay more and more tax from all directions, whilst finding the money to bung hundreds of missiles, at a cost of £250,000.00 each, at countries half of us couldn’t even find on a map and with whom we are not at war……

Meanwhile, our elderly people die of hypothermia……

In Middle England……

For the thousands of Civil Servants who haven’t yet been slain in the cutbacks life goes on as normal.  Yeh, they moan about the cost of petrol whilst filling up their BMW’s and they might have noticed the electricity bill going up a bit, but on the whole austerity hasn’t hit home, at least not yet.  Once their kids go to university and start demanding more and more money, they realise their mock Tudor Barrett box isn’t rising in value and no one wants to buy it and, any cash they may have been putting into a pension fund has increased by fuck all, the penny might drop.  Welcome to austerity……

At the Top……

The bonuses for failure keep on flowing.  The obscene amounts of money they have earned should ensure a fluid future no matter how bad things get for the rest of us and, the filthy rich corporate scum who got us into this mess avoid paying the tax they quite clearly should pay by ‘clever’ accounting and offshore banking.  When drug dealers do it they call it money laundering.  And once their kids leave university they’ll form the next generation of the bourgeoisie to carry on the new world order……

Conclusion……

For the past 30 years we have been part of a program called ‘globalisation’.  The governing party’s have sold off the family silver and spent all of the money.  They have reduced this country to a financial middle man full of service industries.  The majority of the population create nothing material and have been fooled into believing that you can live your life on borrowed money just as their Government has.  The globalisation project is part of an even more sinister program by the new world order who are a group of around 200 individuals and corporations hell bent on controlling the world, the money and you.

WAKE UP, SMELL THE COFFEE & JOIN THE MOVEMENT……

The NWO will not give up their power willingly.  We will have to fight them for it to the bitter end.  Maybe then we can redistribute the wealth and become the caring society we have been fooled into believing we already are.

Tiger Woods is paid more in sponsorship money by Nike than the whole of the workforce in the Philippines, who work 17 hour days for the equivalent of 40 pence……

As the phrase just keeps on coming up, it’s definitely worth noting where it was first minted…

Unless anyone else has an earlier example.

Whatever – a wake up and smell the coffee song of sorts.
