Karl Marx – A Man Ahead of his Time……

5 Sep

I have recently read the “Manifesto of the Communist Party” written by Karl Marx & Friedrich Engels in 1848.   As a comtempary work it also as is as poignant today as when it was written, if not more so.  A free download of the Manifesto can be found at:

I strongly recommend that anyone unfamiliar with work reads it and the predictions contained within will become clear……

The Basics……

What Marx has defines as the “Bourgeoisie”, we can now think of as the multi-national corporations or even, some would say, the “New World Order”.  He sets out with amazing foresight the relationships between the Bourgeoisie and the proletariat and the tendency to reduce the workforce to a commodity to be traded at the lowest price in order to increase the profits of the Bourgeoisie and in doing so remove any humane considerations therein……

And it Came to Pass……

Never before in the history of economics has a document, written over 150 years ago, had such a profound insight as to what has come to pass.  Although “Communism” as we associate it with the eastern block countries, the USSR in particular, failed to redress the balance of the “Bourgeoisie” against the proletariat and subsequently descended into a “free market”  hijacked by the Oligarchs, those usually connected  with the shady world of the KGB, I still believe there is a place for Marxist Communism in the spirit in which it was intended.

And Finally……

I strongly recommend that you download Marx & Engels original work.  I feel you may find it enlightening, as did I.
