New from Apple……

iOwnyou……

I just couldn’t resist the fantastic offer of a brand new iPhone free if I signed up for a 24 month contract from Vodafone.  What I didn’t realise is that I was inadvertently signing up for just about anything beginning with i !  I can have iMusic, iVideos, iPhotos, access the iInternet and do loads of other useful stuff on the move.  However, there is a common thread running through all of this cutting edge technology.  Is it:

  1. The ninth letter of the alphabet? (unless your Greek, in which case you probably can’t afford one)
  2. Reference to ones self in the first person?
  3. An organ used for seeing with?
  4. All of the above?

Not a lot people are aware that Apple Inc actually own the copyright to the letter i and publishers have to pay a royalty to Apple every time they use the letter i in one of their books.  Fortunately, the Royal Family don’t encounter this problem and according to sources at Clarence House, the Royal Technology Department will soon be releasing their own tablet computer, the onesPad.  In an embarrassing incident during a meeting with the French ambassador the Queen became confused and momentarily thought she’d forgotten her Tennalady and rushed to the ladies room to check for dribbles.  Prince Phillip quickly spotted the misunderstanding and covered it up with a joke about Napoleon.

All of this iStuff is great only everything connected with it is exclusively controlled and distributed by Apple and does not bode well in the Microsoft environment.  I now find myself with one testicle in the vice like grip of Steve iJobs and the other nut firmly clamped to Bill Gates.  Doh!……

Addendum……

The man credited with the invention of the interweb, Tim Berners-Lee, selflessly gave his idea to the world freely and does not profit from his idea……
